Who is to be considered Honorable?
Persons in high positions are often entitled honorable. But what really makes a person honorable? Is it just the fact that you are a
Minister that makes somebody honorable? Or is it the way you act and behave and the way in which others see you as personality?
If you would have a person in high position who rather seeks his personal interest than the interest of the country, who spends
the wealth of the society for nonsense projects or via URP to gang members to seek the easy way out of problems and who rather
holds empty speeches and farts in his big chair instead of facing the challenges of society - would you call this person honorable?
If you take instead a nurse and a police officer who take their job serious, who work hard without getting a large payment and who
take all the difficulties of their job without without getting corrupt - aren't these the persons to be called honorable?
A healthy society is based on health and security and in most of the 200 countries of the world nurses and police-officers
don't get the appreciation and payments they deserve. Nurses treat HIV and Hepatitis C patients and put their health in risk
to help others - police-officers risk their lives by fighting criminals who are sometimes even better equipped and get more
money through their criminal activities...
A healthy society needs honorable decision-makers in high positions, honorable
nurses and honorable police-officers. T+T is a rich country. Already the late Dr. Eric Willams said that
money doesn't matters. So please provide best possible working conditions and payments to nurses and police officers
to strengthen the backbones of society. And please honor the persons who really deserve honor.
Please allow me to name just a few persons in the name of all honorable persons in T+T. I want to say special
thanks for the Honorable Mrs. Jeannine Amann from St. Nicholas Primary School and to the Honorable Bertille St. Clair and
all other honorable coaches of St. Clair's Football-School for teaching my son with much love and dedication...
